Commercial insurance and Medicare
What you pay under a commercial plan depends on your deductible, your copay or coinsurance, and whether you've met your out-of-pocket maximum for the year. Plans that cover behavioral health — which nearly all do — typically cover medication for opioid use disorder.
We check your specific benefits before the first visit and tell you the expected cost up front. If the number doesn't work for you, say so and we'll talk about options.
If you're uninsured
Start by asking whether you qualify for North Carolina Medicaid. Since expansion, many working adults do who didn't before. We can check eligibility and help you enroll — and in many cases begin care while enrollment is in process.
Ask before you rule it out
Send an appointment request and ask. Checking costs nothing.
What about the medication itself?
The prescription is filled at your pharmacy and billed to your pharmacy benefit, separately from the visit. Generic buprenorphine/naloxone is widely available and is generally the lowest-cost option. If cost is a problem at the pharmacy counter, tell us — there is usually something we can do about it.
Insurance networks and benefits change. This page describes our contracted plans as of the current site update; your own benefits are always verified individually before your visit.
